Updated for 2019! 2 hour Citizenship GCSE lesson all about the UK’s foreign aid policy and NGOs, Aid Match and the DFiD. The lesson explores whether the UK spends too much on foreign aid and investigates the roles of organisations such as the OECD and the of the International Development Secretary. Created for AQA but could easily be used for any exam board. The lesson includes a detailed, 2 hour PowerPoint, a detailed information pack, practice exam question with mark scheme, debate activities and clips tasks with questions and a literacy / debate focus task. These resources have been designed to be engaging, detailed and easy to follow. The PowerPoint is in the ZIP file as it is large.
